Experience the refined art of Colombian straw marquetry in this exclusive workshop led by Andrès DelaCruz, a master craftsman visiting from Colombia.
Learn this ancestral technique called "Enchapado en Tamo" which consists of cutting and arranging thin strips of straw to create remarkably fine geometric or decorative patterns.
Straw marquetry involves cutting and arranging colored straw slivers into geometric or decorative compositions, traditionally used to embellish furniture, boxes, and trays.

Intended Audience and Prerequisites: Open to beginners and craft enthusiasts No technical prerequisites are required, but good dexterity is a plus.
